Shirley Amartey is a stylist and casting consultant, living in London. She began her career working for i-D magazine and then moved on to assist a number of high profile stylists including Charlotte Stockdale, Patti Wilson and Jane How.

Since then she has gone on to work as a stylist in her own right, working with both emerging and established photographers such as Willem Jaspert, Josh Olins, Robi Rodriguez, Lonny Spence and Rafael Stahelin amongst others.

Having also worked for Russell Marsh and Shelly Durkan, casting has become an important part of her work, often street-casting subjects for shoots.

Shirley's work has appeared in i-D, The Observer, Arena, Celeste and Sam mag. She is currently working on a book of photographs of her family.
